17. A lifetime of fulfilment in Australia

Rachel Low has lived in Australia for over 30 years. Her children were born here and she has always called Australia home. She loves the beautiful surroundings, the fresh air, the sunshine and the distinct four seasons – each with its own beauty.

Rachel has worked in several jobs in various Universities – as tutor, bilingual community educator, in a graduate school of management. She is now a teacher and feels very fulfilled. Rachel believes Australia is not just the ‘lucky country’ but a land of opportunities.

Acquiring Australian citizenship is relatively easy process for an Australian Permanent resident. Current citizenship requirements include having lived in Australia for a total of 4 years (cumulative) with the last 12 months as a permanent resident.
