Child Visas – Subsequent entrants

All Permanent resident applicants can include their children
- Natural (biological) child
- Step child or
- A legally adopted child
in their permanent residency application.
Residency status of a new-born child:
Parent status | New-born Child Status | |

| Australian Permanent resident | Needs a Child visa | Australian citizen |
Australian Citizens or Permanent residents who may
- adopt a child,
- or have a step-child from a new relationship;
while living overseas will need to apply for an appropriate child visa to bring the child to Australia.
Types of Child Visas
- Child Visa – SC 101 or SC 802
- Orphan Relative Visa – SC 117 or SC 837
- Adoption Visa – SC 102
- Dependent Child – SC 445 (Temporary Visa)
