All Australian Permanent residency visa and almost all Temporary visas allow for the applicant to include their immediate family members as secondary applicants in their application.
These include:
Applicant’s partner (spouse or de facto)
Applicant’s dependent children (including partner’s dependent children)
Other dependent relatives.
An applicant can include any of the above family members into their application at a later date before the application is finalized.
Once an application for a Permanent residency is finalized, an applicant may have to apply for an appropriate family visa to bring their family members to Australia.
However, most temporary visas allow for a family member to apply for another visa subsequently, even if they were not included in the original application.
