Permanent Visa – RSMS Sub Class 187 Visa
This is a Permanent resident visa, available for skilled workers, nominated by an Australian Employer based in Regional Australia.
There are two stages in this application process
- Stage 1 – Employer applies for Nomination application
- Lawfully operating business in Regional Australia
- Having a genuine need for a skilled worker who cannot be recruited locally.
- Full-time ongoing position for at least 2 years
- Market Salary rate offered to the employee
- Meet all Australian immigration and workplace relations law
- Stage 2 – Employee applies for a SC 187 Visa
This visa can be applied under one of the three streams:- Temporary residence Transition Stream (TRTS), or
- Direct Entry Stream (DES)
- Agreement Stream – applicable for Labour Agreement businesses and employees only

RSMS Visas are more flexible in its requirements than ENS Visa. Concessions and Exemptions are available on many of the above requirements based on individual circumstances.
