This visa allows a person to travel and stay in Australia 

  • for medical treatment or consultation purposes,
  • or travelling to Australia for organ donation.
  • or accompany a person holding a Medical Treatment visa and support them.

Medical Treatment Visa (SC 602) - Requirements

  • Provide details of medical treatment plan or organ donation 
  • Evidence of sufficient funds for meeting all treatment and stay expenses.
  • Cannot have a medical condition that could be a threat to Public Health in Australia.
  • Temporary visa – can be applied either from or outside Australia
  • If applying from within Australia, must not have condition 8503 – No Further Stay – on their existing visa.
  • Validity period – for the duration of the medical treatment plan.
  • Must meet the financial, character and health requirements as prescribed.
  • Can be a single or multiple entry visa depending on treatment plan
