Visitor Visa – Medical Treatment Visa (SC 602)
This visa allows a person to travel and stay in Australia
- for medical treatment or consultation purposes,
- or travelling to Australia for organ donation.
- or accompany a person holding a Medical Treatment visa and support them.
Medical Treatment Visa (SC 602) - Requirements
- Provide details of medical treatment plan or organ donation
- Evidence of sufficient funds for meeting all treatment and stay expenses.
- Cannot have a medical condition that could be a threat to Public Health in Australia.
- Temporary visa – can be applied either from or outside Australia
- If applying from within Australia, must not have condition 8503 – No Further Stay – on their existing visa.
- Validity period – for the duration of the medical treatment plan.
- Must meet the financial, character and health requirements as prescribed.
- Can be a single or multiple entry visa depending on treatment plan
