Temporary Visitor Visas

Picture

Every year Australia welcomes over a million visitors to the country. These include tourists, family relatives, business persons and others.
Many Australian visitor visas can be applied online, while others can be lodged at the Australian missions overseas directly or through authorised service providers.

  • Most Visitor visas do not allow for work in Australia. Some visitor visa may allow for limited study or volunteer work rights.
  • It is advisable for Visitor visa holders to have appropriate Health Insurance cover, as Healthcare costs in Australia can be substantial.
  • Visitors must be careful to adhere to the conditions on their visa and must depart Australia before the end of their permitted stay in the country.
  • Breach of previous Australian visas may adversely affect and in some conditions even bar people from applying for future Australian visas.
