The most common Temporary work visa is:

Australian businesses facing skill shortage of workers in specific occupations can employ overseas workers for a specified duration using this visa category. This new TSS visa replaces the older well know SC 457 Visa used to employ skilled overseas workers by Australian businesses in the past.

The new regime of TSS visa allows for 3 different streams of workers under:

1. The short-term stream

2. The medium-term stream

3. The Labour agreement stream

  • for businesses who have entered into a labour agreement with the government to employ overseas workers in certain specified occupations
