Alka Singh-Nand is an Academician, living in Melbourne VIC. She immigrated from Fiji. After completing her PhD thesis, she was offered as a lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Alka applied for her permanent residency under the Subclass 190 – State/Territory Nominated visa.

Alka enjoys her teaching role and is very passionate about teaching, which was one of the reasons she moved to Australia. She has taught and lectured in many Universities in Melbourne, Victoria.

Alka says the lifestyle in Australia excited her to come to Australia. She adds “you never have a boring day here. Your weekends are full … you can go out and see new things every day. I think it is just absolutely fantastic”
